For Kofta:
- Methi leaves (finely chopped) - 3/4 cup
- Potatoes(boiled and mashed) - 2 large
- Onions (finely chopped) - 1 medium size
- Green chillies(finely chopped) -2 no.
- Cheese grated - 1/4 cup
- Bread slice - 1 no
- Maida - 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Spinach leaves - 1 bunch
- Tomatoes(chopped) - 2 nos.
- Onions(chopped) - 1 no.
- Ginger(finely chopped) - 1/2"piece
- Cream 1/2 cup
- Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
For Kofta:
- Soak the bread slice in water and squeeze out all the water.
- Mix the methi leaves, potatoes, onion, bread slice, green chilli, cheese and salt together. Shape into small balls.
- Make a smooth paste by dissolving little water in maida.
- Heat the oil in kadai. Dip the balls in the maida paste and fry till crispy. keep aside.
- Boil and grind the spinach to a fine paste. Keep aside.
- Grind the onions, tomatoes and ginger to a fine paste.
- Heat oil in apan, add the masala paste and fry for 5 mins. Stir in the salt, red chilli and spanach paste and fry for another 5 mins.
- Mix in cream and bring to a boil.
Place the koftas in adish and pour the hot gravy on top. Garnish with cream on top.
