Adai


Ingredients:
  • Raw rice - 1/2 cup
  • Boiled rice - 1/2 cup
  • Toor dal - 1/2 cup
  • Urad dal - 1/2 cup
  • Channa dal - 1/2 cup
  • Red chilli - 7
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for sprinkle
  • Asafoetida - pinch
  • curry leaves - 10 chopped
  • Coriander leaves - few choped
  • Onion - finely chopped
Preparation:
  • Wash and Soak rice and dals together for 2 hours.
  • Now grind it in a wet grinder or mixer grinder with little amount of water.
  • while grinding add red chillies.
  • Grind till the batter turns into coarse and transfer to vessel.
  • Add chopped onions and curry leaves. Now Adai batter is ready.
  • Heat the pan ( Tawa ) for 2 minutes.
  • Wipe the pan with few drops of oil and spread a ladle full of batter into dosa.
  • Cook till the adai turns into light brownish color either side.
  • Serve hot with aviyal or coconut chutney.
